Attention of all Public Authorities is hereby invited to the various Circulars issued by the Government from time to time regarding compliance of Section 4(1)(a) and Section 4(b) of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

However, it is observed that above section has not been complied with by some of the Public Authorities which is mandatory under the RTI Act, 2005.

Compliance with section 4 of the RTI Act is crucial for promoting transparency, accountability and good governance. By proactively disclosing information, Public Authorities can reduce the need for RTI applications and promote a culture of openness and transparency.

All Public Authorities are therefore directed to comply with Section 4(1)(a) and Section 4(b) by updating Website with relevant information under Section 4 and ensure that the information provided is easily accessible to the public, including citizens who may file RTI application.
