Late Dr. Anant S. Bakhale, along with his colleagues from Bharateeya Sanskriti Prabodhini, founded Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya & Research Centre on 1st December 1993. His leadership established Goa’s first Ayurveda teaching institute, shaping it into a centre of learning and service.

Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya & Research Centre (GAMRC), established in 1993 by Bharateeya Sanskriti Prabodhini, is Goa’s first and only institute dedicated to imparting quality education in Ayurveda. At Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya & Research Centre, we believe every student deserves individual attention. Library & Information Centre
Our fully equipped Ayurvedic library serves as a rich knowledge hub, housing classical Ayurvedic texts, modern medical literature, journals, and digital resources. The aim is to encourage students to become independent learners, develop strong research skills, and stay connected with the evolving world of Ayurveda and integrative medicine.
Clinical & Research Training
Students receive hands-on training in our NABH-accredited hospital, herbal garden, and research centre. This practical exposure includes patient care, diagnosis, herbal medicine preparation, and specialized therapies. For additional academic support, students can access skill-building workshops, seminars, and research assistance.
Skill Development
Beyond academics, we encourage students to take part in enrichment programs such as medical camps, yoga workshops, wellness awareness drives, and cultural activities.
