This course is envisaged by the CCIM and is implementing an all India syllabus and curriculum. The course is designed to generate efficient Ayurveda physicians, surgeons, researchers, manufacturers and teachers and is conducted as per the examination schedule and regulations of the CCIM. CCIM has prescribed the minimum standards norms for the infrastructure facilities and the faculties. The College has fulfilled all the required minimum standards for the course.
 
Duration: The BAMS course (Ayurvedacharya) is a course of 4 ½ years duration and further 1 year internship. The students have to appear for four University Examinations Ist B.A.M.S., IInd B.A.M.S., IIIrd B.A.M.S. exam will be held annually (after 12 months) , IV B.A.M.S. examination will be held  at the end of 1 ½ year.
 
Eligibility for Admission: A candidate for admission should have passed 10th plus two or equivalent with a minimum of aggregate 50% marks in physics, chemistry, and biology. Candidate should appear for Goa CET. 
 
Selection: The student's application will be scrutinized by the DTE, Govt. of Goa and admission of the candidate will be done on the basis of merit list of Goa CET Exam results.
 
Approvals: The course is approved by the Government of Goa, the CCIM and AYUSH, the central Government Department for Indian systems of medicines. From 1993, the course is recognized by the Goa University.

Residential Certificate
 
Minimum marks for a pass: The student should get a minimum of 50% separately for theory, practical and oral examination in each subject to pass the subject.
 
Examination: The examinations are conducted by the Goa University, with the successful completion of the course and completion of internship, the degree certificate will be issued by the university.
 
Registration: The degree holders will receive the registration certificate from Goa board of Indian system of medicine and Homeopathy.
